Starting the Puppy Buying Process

We are excited to help you welcome a new Golden Retriever family member! Here’s how our process works:

Step 1: Puppy Application

All potential puppy parents must complete and submit our puppy application for approval. Please allow at least 24 hours for review, though it may take longer depending on our workload. Submitting an application does not guarantee a reservation.

Step 2: Deposit

Once your application is approved, a $300 non-refundable deposit is required to secure your spot on our list. Deposits are applied toward the total purchase price of the puppy.

• If puppies are available, your deposit confirms your interest.

• If no puppies are available, you’ll be added to our waitlist and contacted in deposit order for upcoming litters.

Updates

Once a litter is born, you’ll receive weekly updates via email, including photos and videos posted on our Facebook page so you can watch your puppy grow. 

Selecting Your Puppy

When puppies reach 6.5-8 weeks old, we will contact you to schedule your selection appointment based on your deposit order. Selection can be made in person, via FaceTime, or through pictures.

• We will contact you with a scheduled date and time for your selection.

• You’ll have one hour to meet and choose your puppy.

• We will assist based on each puppy’s unique traits and personality.

Take Home Timeline

Puppies are ready to go to their forever homes at 7.5-8 weeks of age.

• Full payment is required at the time of pick-up.

Additional Policies

• We do not ship puppies.

• We reserve the right to retain a puppy from any litter.

• No visitors are allowed until puppies have had their first vaccines and a vet check.

• LMU Goldens reserves the right to refund your deposit if we determine a puppy is not the right fit for your family.

✔ No LMU Goldens dog will ever end up in a shelter or an unsafe environment. If you are unable to continue caring for your Golden, we will either welcome them back into our home or find them a loving new family.

✔ Decisions regarding refunds, if applicable, will be handled with compassion and fairness, based on the individual situation.

🐾 Our commitment is lifelong. Our doors will always be open for any LMU Goldens puppy to return to the home where their journey began.

 Microchipping Services: Protecting Your Golden for Life

At LMU Goldens, we prioritize the safety and security of our puppies. That’s why each puppy comes equipped with a Fi Nano microchip, a permanent form of identification that provides:

• Secure & Easy Identification – If your puppy is ever lost or separated from you, their microchip ensures they can be identified and returned home safely.

• Lifetime Emergency Contact – As your breeder, I will remain listed as an emergency contact on your puppy’s microchip for life, adding an extra layer of security should your Golden ever need assistance.

• Integration with Fi Nano Collars – For owners looking to enhance their dog’s safety, Fi Nano collars offer real-time GPS tracking, allowing you to monitor your Golden’s location at all times.

📂 Complete Medical Records – Every puppy comes with a detailed health record, including vaccination history, deworming schedule, microchip registration, and any applicable health clearances.

📘 Ongoing Health & Nutrition Guidance – I provide lifelong support to all LMU Goldens families, offering guidance on nutrition, training, and veterinary care to ensure your Golden thrives.
