Starting the Puppy Buying Process

We are excited to help you welcome a new Golden Retriever family member! Here’s how our process works:

Step 1: Puppy Application

All potential puppy parents must complete and submit our puppy application for approval. Please allow at least 24 hours for review, though it may take longer depending on our workload. Submitting an application does not guarantee a reservation.

Step 2: Deposit

Once your application is approved, a $300 non-refundable deposit is required within 72 hours to secure your spot on our waitlist. Deposits are applied toward the total purchase price of the puppy.

• If puppies are available, your deposit confirms your interest.

• If no puppies are available, you’ll be added to our waitlist and contacted in deposit order for upcoming litters.

Pricing

• Limited AKC Registration: $1,500 (deposit included).

• Puppies with Full Registration are available with prior approval.

Updates

Once a litter is born, you’ll receive weekly updates via email, including photos and videos posted on our Facebook page so you can watch your puppy grow.

Visits

To respect the needs of our dogs and puppies:

• Visits are by appointment only and are reserved for approved applicants with a deposit on file.

• Visits to meet puppies or their parents are scheduled after puppies reach the appropriate age (6.5-8 weeks) and only if you are on the waitlist.
  Raising puppies is a full-time job, and we appreciate your understanding of our schedule.

Selecting Your Puppy

When puppies reach 6.5-8 weeks old, we will contact you to schedule your selection appointment based on your deposit order. Selection can be made in person, via FaceTime, or through pictures.

• We will contact you with a scheduled date and time for your selection.

• You’ll have one hour to meet and choose your puppy.

• We will assist based on each puppy’s unique traits and personality.

Take-Home Timeline

Puppies are ready to go to their forever homes at 7.5-8 weeks of age.

• Full payment is required at the time of pick-up.

• If pickup is delayed, a $25/night boarding fee applies.

Health and Nutrition

• All puppies are vet-checked, microchipped, and have received their first vaccines and deworming at 2, 4, and 6 weeks of age.

• We feed our puppies Valu Pak 28/20 and supplement with NuVet Plus, which we recommend continuing in their new homes.

Deposits and Payment Policy

• All deposits are non-refundable but transferable to a future litter with advance notice.

• Payment Methods: Cash, Venmo, CashApp, Apple Pay or Zelle.

• Final payment: Cash, Venmo, Cashapp or Zelle. No checks

Additional Policies

• We do not ship puppies.

• We reserve the right to retain a puppy from any litter.

• No visitors are allowed until puppies have had their first vaccines and a vet check.

• LMU Goldens reserves the right to refund your deposit if we determine a puppy is not the right fit for your family.

Each puppy from LMU Goldens comes equipped with a Fi Nano microchip, providing secure and easy identification. Owners have the option to integrate these chips with Fi Nano collars, offering real-time location tracking of your new furry friend. Comprehensive Veterinary Care at LMU Goldens:

At LMU Goldens, we prioritize exceptional veterinary care for our dogs. Here’s how we ensure their health and well-being:

• Preventative Measures: All puppies undergo thorough health screenings, vaccinations, fecal tests, and deworming.

• Routine Check-Ups: Our adult dogs regularly receive veterinary exams to maintain optimal health and prepare for breeding.

• Emergency Care: We have access to 24/7 emergency services to ensure immediate medical attention if needed.

• Health Documentation: Each puppy is provided with medical records upon adoption.

• Ongoing Support: We offer guidance to new owners on maintaining the health of their Golden Retriever.
